There’s this really nice piece at underthegunreview.net by Jacob Tender that a friend forwarded me today. It’s about how important Fall Out Boy’s album “From Under the Cork Tree,” was to him. After reading it though, nostalgic and well-written as it was, I really found myself more depressed than…
This is so sad. Folie is amazing (my personal favorite FOB album, but I guess I’m the only one), Truant Wave is amazing, Soul Punk is amazing. Guess Patrick Stump doesn’t realize just how talented he is, and how many true fans he has.
Makes me want to listen to Soul Punk. I had been staying away from it, because it recently hit too close to home, and not in a good way, but I’m going to give it another shot :)
WATCHING LOVE, ACTUALLY…

AND IT’S THE AIRPORT SCENE AND THE MUSIC IS SWELLING DRAMATICALLY AND IT’S SO PERFECT AND TRUE LOVE TOTALLY EXISTS AND I LOVE YOU ALL AND MERRY CHRISTMAS!

This sums up my night. What a fantastic movie.
Tomorrow can not come soon enough…
My husband needs to come home now. Stupid business trips. Stupid Texas.
Recipe
wednesdaywriter:
While trying to think of what would make the best breakfast sandwich out of the limited resources in my fridge, I wrote down the recipe I dreamt up, lest I forget by 6 A.M.
Being a dork, it came out as a poem. I now share it with you because I am slowly losing all shame. My dignity went long ago.
“Breakfast Sammy”
by David Welsh
Flip one egg fried,
With a pinch of salt inside.
Stir in it some spinach
With flaked red pepper to finish,
And slide it onto rye
Before the yolk cooks dry.
I don’t think I fully appreciated this when it was read to me while I was sleeping, but its amazing, and I get to eat it in the morning. :D
